Our leather wrapped steering wheels were in poor condition after years of baking in the sun with little to no conditioner. Today was the day to recondition them and being them back to life. They aren’t perfect but much better than how they started 🤪 @sailingeriskay It’s a task worth undertaking which required much elbow grease and dedicated time to bring them back to life. I’m not a professional leather restorer but simply used techniques I had seen on YouTube. Hope you find this helpful. #sailinglife #boatprojects #shortsfeed #travelblogger #leathercleaning #makeithappen
The recent Offshore Double Handed Worlds run out of Cowes and organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club suggests that this could be a successful format for the future. But the event also provided guide lines for a new way of holding keel boat racing in the future. Given the widespread concerns about the ever spiralling costs of 'big boat' racing and how future generations will be able to afford it, the Offshore Double Handed Worlds provided some interesting ideas.
Meet this nocturnal scavenger of the #ocean, the #Dardanus hermit crabs. These #aquatic organisms play a crucial role in #marineecosystems. Their scavenging actions help to clean up the ocean floor by eating a wide range of tiny animals, algae, and even devouring decaying organic material. You can find these little fellas in #tropical or #subtropical environments, where they live on #coralreefs and other rocky locations where they adapt to various aquatic conditions. La Galigo’s dive expeditions in #Komodo and #RajaAmpat often find this #SeaCreature and some other weird creatures during a #nightdive exploring the seafloor.
