We went to take our sailboat out the Ft Pierce Inlet for our second time for a shakedown sail. We had sail issues so we had to come back into the inlet with an outgoing tide and incoming east wind. We did not know that combination made the inlet rough as we are new to inlet currents and tides. Made for a fun surfing ride back into the inlet. On a hike up to the Maunawili Falls Trail, through heat, mosquitoes and the treacherous landscape, we finally reached the Falls for a refreshing dip in ice cold water. Crystal jumped in with some coaxing, and I captured it on film.

Race One of the annual narrows series on Strangford Lough got under way under cloudy skies with a moderate breeze GTR worked to leeward of its main competitors before hitting the pin with speed which allowed them to punch out into the stronger tide which helped the leewbow the three boats to windward of them. It did not take long for them to cast a wind shadow on the boats to windward of them allowing them to put the bow down and race off towards mark 1 in the lead..
