Giorno 21 - TIRRENO Si parte! L’entusiasmo a bordo è palpabile. Ci lasciamo alle spalle la marina di Portorosa e facciamo rotta verso Sant’Agata di Militello. Appena usciamo dal porto navighiamo sopra un’onda lunga e alta. Niente a che vedere con le onde corte dell’Adriatico che fanno sbattere la prua a destra e a manca. Quest’andatura lenta e cullata ci da fiducia per il prossimo futuro. Purtroppo il vento non è sufficiente a farci spegnere il motore, perciò proseguiamo con un’andatura ibrida. Infine la nostra più acerrima nemica, la RISACCA, ci tiene compagnia anche stasera. Tanto noi siamo allenati già da Vieste, in Puglia. Domani: Palermo!

I've added a 3 position switch, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ5N5t-v990 I've had a couple of cars turn in front of me while on my bike. Fortunately I've been able to avoid them so far. You'd think a big bright headlight would get you seen, but it's almost invisible to the other cars. I bought these lights on ebay for just under $15 including shipping. Took me half an hour to hook them up and now I do feel a lot more visible. The lights can also be set to flash at the same time, but I feel this is more visible.

We have a light breeze at the right angle for our Code Zero and we have a great sail to our Marina in Rome.
