"One of the neat features of the Columbia Carbon 32 that we've incorporated into the design is the Coleman catering style coolers. We've used the lids from these coolers on the integrated built in ice boxes on the boat. Also we have storage areas for these coolers to fit in the boat so you're not looking for places to store your provisions. It also allows you to take the coolers home, pack your lunch at home and then load your cooler onboard and put it in its place."

The first test of our Dyneema loops that replace metal chainplates as part of our full Dyneema Standing rigging project within the full refit of our 1977 Rival 38. We are refitting our Rival 38 for a Sustainable Sailing retirement in a few years. Two years ago, when we bought Vida she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings. We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all electric (motor, cooking etc). Now that the inside is dry (thanks to new windows, new hatches and leak chasing) we are fitting her out for live-aboard world cruising. That includes no fossil fuels, updating the rig and deck plus much more. this is where we can store up to 2 months of food on a boat, because you always want to take double what you need just incase you get stuck out there! we hide it in the cupboards, in the drawers, in 4 different fridges, in the benches and even under the floors!
