I can not believe this is the final step on replacing the rotten deck! I've made it! I am so excited, I waited for this day for such a long time. All the hard work, and finally the deck will get finished :) I know I know it's only a small part of the whole boat progress and there is still so much more work that needs to be done, the list is long: new bulwarks, sanding-welding-painting the rail, fiberglass repairs on the main cabin, fixing leaking hatches, installing one new hatch, repainting the whole boat, underwater repairs on the prop shaft once the boat gets lifted again, changing the switchboard for the electronics and so much more. The insurance we went through probably 15 different insurance agencies looking for someone who would insure the crossing for the Atlantic, insure the boat while it was in Croatia. And being a U.S citizen with a U.S flag boat in a foreign country not a lot of people were interested. The tip that we actually got that worked out was from Nick for UNIQUA Insurance and they were super helpful. Easy, it just fell right into place.
