What a wonderful weekend, sailing with family and friends in the Aeolian Islands (Vulcano and Lipari) and then seeing dolphins on the way back to Milazzo, fantastic! Wir sind Luisa und Matthias und seit 4 Jahren mit unser Sadler 34 "Wanderling" auf Weltreise. 2020 sind wir in Deutschland aufgebrochen, haben die Europäische Atlantikküste, die Azoren, Madeira und die Kanaren besegelt. Im Winter 2022 haben wir dann den Sprung über den Atlantik gewagt, um in den darauffolgenden Jahren ausgiebig die kleinen Antillen der östlichen Karibik zu erkunden. Aktuell zieht es uns wieder nach Norden, über die Bahamas in die USA. Wer weiß, was als nächstes passiert? You don’t expect to walk through a mini-desert on a Greek island — yet suddenly the Ammothínes appear right in front of you. This area on the island of Limnos consists of fine sand dunes formed by strong northern winds and ancient sea currents. Over thousands of years, the sand was carried inland from the coast and accumulated between old volcanic hills. Because the area is so vast and difficult to explore on foot, we launched our drone to admire the beautiful dunes and this seaside mini-desert from above.
