In front of Marseille are Les Îles (the Frioul Islands) which is a rocky archipelago with sandy beaches, hiking trails and a rich flora and bird world. One of the islands is Île d'If, known for its 16th century castle and prison, it is the place where the book 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas is located is playing. When we sailed into one of the bays of the islands, called Calanque de Morgiret, I was blown away by it’s beauty! It was almost 360 degrees surrounded by the white walls of the Calanques, the water was crystal clear, almost transparent. We anchored here and stayed here for 3 days.

LE VENDEE GLOBE, un tour du monde à la voile en solitaire Le Vendée Globe est une course à la voile autour du monde, en solitaire et sans escale. Un tour du monde à la voile, d’Ouest en Est, par les trois grands caps de Bonne Espérance, Leeuwin et Horn. Le point de départ et d'arrivée de la course: Les Sables d’Olonne. Le monocoque StMichel-Virbac construit au chantier Multiplast En avril dernier, Jean-Pierre Dick et ses partenaires annonçaient leur retour en monocoque avec l’objectif de participer aux épreuves du championnat Ocean Masters de 2015 à 2017, avec en point d’orgue le Vendée Globe 2016. StMichel-Virbac, dessiné par Verdier VPLP, sera construit au chantier vannetais Multiplast. The new Samson Post is looking goooood :) I love the days when you can see the progress and today is one of those days. Sanding and painting just makes the biggest difference, oh I can't wait to see the new post on stormy. I might need some advice of you guys: everyone tells me to paint the new samson post (the old one was painted grey) but I really love the timber look. Keep it natural or paint it? What do you think?
