A product of thousands of man-hours in hull design and optimisation, and with no expense spared in refining the crucial sailing ergonomics suited to a modern cruising couple, Seawind Catamarans announces the new 1370. A boat with the high aim of striking the perfect balance between performance and comfort in a 45’ bluewater cruiser - this cat is designed to be the best go-anywhere, live-aboard cruising catamaran available today. Our rigorous design efforts have produced a hull capable of truly thrilling light air and heavy weather speeds and impressive pointing ability while being easy to handle shorthanded or single-handed. Here's an introduction to a new boat we're truly proud of. We hope you enjoy it just half as much as we do. View more details here: https://www.seawindcats.com/seawind-1370/
This is definitely the Calm Before the Storm! We made our way to Marsh Harbour early this morning to hopefully find a good anchorage in anticipation of the weekend's big blow. Forecasted to be in upwards of 60kn, it's at least 20kn more than we've experienced. That's a LOT OF WIND! Suffice it to say, Marsh Harbour wasn't vacant. We were able to find, what we hope to be, a nice hole between some sailboats. To our aft are the folks from Sailing Zephyr...very cool. Anyways, we're confident in our ground tackle but you always have to worry about other boats dragging. Our anchor is a Spade 160 and is oversized for our boat...that said, if there's an abrupt wind shift of 180º, all anchors will have to reset themselves. This is definitely the Calm Before the Storm
