And we’re off! 🌎 Today marks the start of our passage across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Light winds made for a slow start, but nature put on a show—dolphins, small whales, and even turtles, some swimming upside down! We checked to make sure they were okay, and luckily, they were. With the wind dying, we’ll be motoring through the night, but a big highlight was testing our spinnaker setup for the first time. The spectacular coast of Baja California Sur hosts the biannual migration of the magnificent Mobula Munkiana. There are three species of Mobula rays to encounter in the sea of Cortez; Mobula Mobular , Mobula Thurstoni, and the most famous Mobula Munkiana which we plan to spend hours snorkeling with, among other big animals like sea lions, dolphins, whalesharks, whales, and possibly orcas!
