And we’re off! 🌎 Today marks the start of our passage across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Light winds made for a slow start, but nature put on a show—dolphins, small whales, and even turtles, some swimming upside down! We checked to make sure they were okay, and luckily, they were. With the wind dying, we’ll be motoring through the night, but a big highlight was testing our spinnaker setup for the first time. We've left Grenada! The map in the video shows us where we are at the time of this post. My message for today is that if you're new to cruising, make sure to experience a night sail with an experienced sailor as a part of your required training. Even if you don't plan on sailing at night, you might find yourself in a position where you must do it. Once you try it out, you'll find it peaceful.
