You can sign up for Jeff’s Offshore Cruising course by going to https://www.boatersuniversity.com/ In February of 2019, Jeff spent three intense days in Jacksonville, FL to film a new Boaters University course. The result is a very comprehensive series of video clips to watch and documents to download. The online curriculum offered by Boaters University includes a series of video courses taught by well-known marine industry personalities who specialize in different fields. “Offshore Cruising – Preparing Craft and Crew” was created to help sailors and power boaters better understand how to get ready and what to expect before traveling offshore. During the filming of lessons, the film crew asked Jeff to shoot a couple of “teaser shorts” to explain some helpful tips for cruising boaters and give a taste of what to expect from the entire series. This Offshore Cruising Tip is called, “Labeling Your Boat”. As you become more familiar with your boat, you quickly realize there is a seemingly endless number of components, equipment and details to keep track of. To help you better understand and remember what everything is (and what is normal), we recommend that you arm yourself with a roll of blue tape and a permanent ink pen (Sharpie) to inventory and prepare a reminder label for crucial components. By creating simple identifiers – what it is, normal settings, what to monitor – you will become more aware of your boat and therefore become more in tune with safe operations and proper performance. Jeff’s clients like to tease him about the contagious amount of blue tape that he normally plasters all over and affectionately refer to it as “Merrill Pox”. You may be surprised how quickly you will appreciate these friendly reminders. This basic procedure to identify and monitor equipment is the foundation of “Dialing-in-your-boat.” Over time you can upgrade the blue tape labels with more professional looking label maker stickers. To learn more about preparing for safe cruising, we invite you to sign up for “Offshore Cruising – Preparing Craft and Crew” and learn why it has become one of the most popular classes offered. ► Full test in Multihulls World #182: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/100-sunreef-power-a-100-luxury-multiyacht ► An ocean-capable, grand luxury Supercat. While this model won’t be holding the title of flagship catamaran for very long, shortly handing it over to the 40M Sunreef Explorer and 49M Sunreef Power, the fact remains that this brand new 100-footer freshly launched in Gdańsk is turning heads with her blend of dark gray and pink gold finishes. A new demonstration of Sunreef's expertise in luxury custom catamarans. We got the chance to discover this model after her very first sea trials - the video and the full test will be published soon! This giant supercat was designed as a trans-oceanic vessel (5,280 US gallons / 20,000 liters of fuel) and can also be ordered in an Eco version. But the willingness to manage energy on board is already brought to the fore: the 100 Sunreef Power, for example, uses an ultramodern air conditioning system capable of running throughout the night without needing the support of a generator. The relaxation area on the main deck includes a large lounge area to port, with a 55" retracting TV and a custom designed bar on the starboard side. Forward in the saloon, the multiyacht's galley is equipped like a restaurant kitchen, including a cold room. A gym with a sea view and access to the large foredeck is also offered. The flybridge guarantees total comfort with various relaxation areas, including a bar and a huge dining table. Guests can also enjoy the custom Jacuzzi, surrounded by sun loungers. This space can also be transformed into an outdoor cinema with a high-end sound system, projector and retractable screen. The aft cockpit of the 100 Sunreef Power occupies the full width of the boat, just over 44 feet (13.50 m), offering a large dining area, sunbathing areas and a bar. The supercat also has a large hydraulic aft platform and a spacious garage accommodating a pair of three-seater jet skis, a refueling station and good storage capacity for all the nautical toys. With natural oak flooring, rose quartz, brass accents and custom cabinetmaking, the interior themes of this first model reflects the owners' taste for classic design. Accommodation for ten guests is spread across five large cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Located in the port hull, the owner's suite features a king-size bed and a relaxation area with sea views. One of the outstanding features of this suite is its huge bathroom, tiled in classic black and white. As for the crew, they are comfortably accommodated in three cabins - two of which are in the forward part of the hulls and the other one aft. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Sunreef Yachts Design: Sunreef Yachts Material: composite Length: 94’ (28.63 m) Beam: 44’2” (13.50 m) Engines: 2 x 1,300 HP Fuel: 5,280 US gal (20,000 l) Water: 635 US gal (2,400 l) ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests!
