Sailing Sacred Seas In this episode, we continue our sailing journey up the breathtaking southern coast of Spain aboard our Lagoon 440 catamaran, Kaia. With the parents back on land, it’s just us, the sea, and our three salty pups as we cruise from Santa Pola to Denia. Along the way, we hit our biggest port yet—Alicante—soak up the charm of Altea, and get in some solid sailing, boat upgrades, and beach time. From relaxing passages and beautiful marina stays to exploring vibrant cities and building our confidence at sea, we’re slowly finding our rhythm as liveaboard sailors—just in time to prepare for our first offshore passage to Ibiza!

In the 2023 Rolex Fastnet Race, Stormvogel claimed 6th in IRC Zero (and placed 11th overall in IRC) from a massive field of 358 starters. Launched in 1961, Stormvogel was one of the world's first lightweight maxis-designed by Van de Stadt, with input from Laurent Giles-and built of cold-moulded wood. She won Line Honours in her first-ever Fastnet, and over six decades later continues to sail-and compete-with unwavering spirit.
