WIND? Singlehanded Docking Stern To with Lazy Lines Nick in this video shares valuable insight on handling winds while performing a stern-to docking manoeuvre with lazy lines. =========================== Transcript Now if it was a really windy day or if I was getting blown away right now I would drive boat against that stern line or control line so that I had control and was not drifting closer to the dock especially if I had a wind on the nose. So we just keep pulling this out and I keep watching the stern of my boat. Now that I'm pulling the boat forward I don't have to worry about the boat heading backwards there and I've got that control line on so I can't go too far. So I'm not going to worry about trying to pull this really hard right now I'm going to get it firm. Get it on. I notice that the Seychelles always feels a bit unreal… Like nature is showing off. Car-free islands where people move on bicycles. Turtles almost 400 kg walking right next to you. Forests that look the same as they did 1,000 years ago. And water so clear you can see your shadow on the sand. When I’m there, I always think, “Is this my life or a movie?” And the best part is exploring all of this from a yacht, waking up with the sea under your feet and a new island every morning. **14–21 February 2026** One week in paradise.
