SAILING ILLUSTRATED #799 (Fri 10 Jan 2025) — “It’s been an interesting first two days for us,” commented Gavin Brady (USA) on top with Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL) and Ian Williams (GBR) at the 2025 Macao Match Cup. “Despite us not managing to do a great deal of preparation for the event, as well as other teams, we are sailing well. While Shane was paddling the boys and I had the most amazing eagle encounter! Out of the corner of my eye it looked like something big had fallen from the sky. When I darted my eyes over I saw it was an eagle, sitting ready for takeoff after noticing our excitement in seeing it. I yelled for the boys to come see and we had fun watching it for 20 or so seconds it was with us.
