We built the F4 Foiling Catamaran for Red Bull. They went on an epic adventure to foil from New York to Bermuda. They encountered 35-knot winds and waves up to 25 feet which hammered the "F4," a 46-foot foiling catamaran. Ideal foiling conditions out of New York turned treacherous for some of the world’s best sailors, who battled the elements for over 66 hours during a 662-mile (1,065km) open ocean journey. The MOD 70 class is born in 2009 with the experience gained in the Orma 60 trimaran class, from an association between 3 passionate entrepreneurs & sailors: Marco Simeoni, Steve Ravussin and Franck David. At the start of the 2008 Vendee Globe race, Steve Ravussin and Franck David, introduced the concept of the Multi One Design project, which was to set a class of offshore identical trimarans, to Marco Simeoni.
