We spotted this whale a few miles off the East coast of the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. There hasn't been a sighting of a humpback whale in the Clyde for 8 years. The sighting has been registered and has now been given the ID# SCUK106. Gig Harbor Boat Works demonstrates a prototype of a new tandem rowing system that allows two rowers to face each other while rowing! Recently we had a request from a couple who enjoyed rowing and wanted a tandem sliding seat boat... but wanted to be able to see each other while both of them are rowing. That sounds like a tough request, but we enjoy 'imagineering' anything! We built a 16.5 Melonseed rowboat with tandem sliding seats, then incorporated standard aft-facing forward position with a forward-facing aft position. The result? Perfect fore and aft trim, remarkable speed excellent directional control AND the rowers can converse easily!
