🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [27/52] 🪢 There’s so many horror stories out there with boats having to clean their diesel tanks in the worst imaginable situation after the engine stoped working at an even worse moment. We figured we play it safe and try to prevent it as much as we can after finding a piece of plastic that blocked the system causing our engine to stop outside of Anholt (just after we left Sweden). You can never be totally safe from diesel bugs, specially fueling up in remote places, but you can diminish the risks. Also make sure you protect yourself and the environment by avoiding spill! Only discharge of the residues in a designated place. At 65 feet you saw this glorious sailing catamaran arrive and has since been preparing for handover at @theboatworks . The answer depends on how much you want done after market. In this case the team laid 120 square of Burmese teak and installed two ONAN generators. Following the boat going to water the mast was stepped and rigging and sails are installed (this is no small feat, involving 12 people). Finally it’s time for its maiden sail for the final test! Look how beautiful this yacht is off the Gold Coast! All that’s left is handover… we can’t wait for the owner to set sail on their own adventures!
