Going Aloft! Scaling A Mast on our Sailboat! After two months, our mast has been stepped on our sailboat and this is the final ascent! Going Aloft for the final time! Kent Morrow from North Sound Rigging in Anacortes was a rock star Rigger. We converted from rod to wire--and he was super professional and so much fun. And now, our new adventure is upon us! Shortly after the start of the 2024 Ardglass Race the team on GTR forgot that they were the second fleet to start and that there were a bunch of cruisers that that they need to pass on the way to the narrows. The mainsheet man heard the call of starboard and pointed out that they need to duck quick to avoid the right of way yacht. A quick ease of the main followed by a duck had GTR heading out the the building pressure on the right before taking over on the starboard and heading for the entry of the narrows. The team a bottom up boats hope you are enjoying our short bits from the 2024 racing season.
