New for 2024, and unveiled at the La Rochelle boat show, the Treasy 4.0 has been designed and is being built by Emilien Faurens at his Faursail shipyard, based at La Tremblade, on France's Atlantic coast. The architect/builder usually produces one-off boats, but this GRP multihull is offered in series production. The chines common to all Faursail models are retained, but this time the hulls come from molds. The Treasy 4.0 is a compact, lightweight, sporty yet forgiving trimaran. Large rigid wings replace the traditional trampolines. On board, it's all about thrills and spills with ease. In a good breeze, the Treasy is capable of hitting 12 knots close-hauled and flirts with 18-20 knots off the wind. Dismantlable and transportable, the Treasy weighs just 210 lbs (95 kg) ready to sail, which means it can be carried (by 3 or 4 people) or reassembled on a boat ramp or on the beach thanks to an ad hoc trailer. ? Notte a motore, che significa notte di riposo. ? Eh si, unpopolar opinion: niente vento significa niente onde, che significa barca ferma e sonno assicurato ? Comunque l'alba arriva in fretta, e con lei un filo di vento. Prima genoa, poi gennaker. Manteniamo una media di 140 miglia al giorno circa. Con il gennaker manteniamo comunque i nostri dignitosissimi 5 nodi di velocità. Domenica di riposo, di giochi di società, di chiacchiere e relax. Qualcuno legge, qualcun altro sonnecchia, altri due ancora sistemano cose (oggi il tangone). I prossimi due giorni è previsto che non siano molto diversi da oggi, poco vento e alta pressione. Noi procediamo verso nord-est, inseguendo il vento, seppur godendoci ugualmente uno scorcio di vita un po' più lenta. Buona domenica a tutti ??? C.
