Many people worry about how they can turn their catamaran hull over without damaging it. Furthermore, people tend to over estimate the loads and the number of people and equipment needed. But as this video shows, it is very easy and with some strategically placed car tyres can be done without damage It also shows the advantage of building one hull at a time! This Tamar 31 is being built by Seascape in Thailand. You can see more on the boat yard here www.seascape-asia.com And more on the Tamar 31 here http://sailingcatamarans.com/index.php/designs-2/5-catamarans-over-40ft/480-tamar-31
► Like lots of American boatbuilders, Invincible offers two ranges – monohulls and powercats – both geared towards fishing. There are now six twin-hulled models (from 33 to 46 feet) and we got to discover the brand new Invincible 36, unveiled at MIBS. Thomas Wieners, the boss of the shipyard, has drawn on his experience in the nautical, aviation and automotive industries to guarantee a very high quality of construction (12-year warranty). The hull has a raised chine, a narrow but deep tunnel, a wave-piercing system and very steep bows - all features that have proven their worth on the open sea. The deck plan adopts a center console with a particularly sophisticated helm station. The modularity of certain elements - removable rod storage, folding aft seats - allows for a certain versatility of programs. The little extra that we like: the generously topstitched upholstery (here in white and gray), a true signature of the yard based in Opa-Locka, just north of Miami. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Builder: Invincible Architects: Morelli & Melvin Length: 36’ (10.9 m) Beam: 11’8” (3.5 m) Displacement (with motors): 17,100 lbs 7,756 kg Powertrain: 4 x 300 HP outboards Fuel: 606 US gal (2,300 l) Cruising speed: 34 knots Max. speed: 60 knots Range: 600 nautical miles ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests!
