How to tie a Double sheet bend. #katknots. ▫️ The double sheet bend joins two ropes of different thicknesses well especially if they are wet. Also known as the double flag bend. Make sure both working ends are on the same side when completed. It's stronger that way. ▫️ Form a bight (loop) with the thicker rope. Keep the end up top. ▫️ Thread the thinner line through the loop as shown and then round behind the thicker rope. ▫️ Pass the working end of the thinner line round the neck of your loop. Then tuck the thinner line back under itself twice. We're nice and clear. I was going to say we've looked at the wind but the wind unfortunately just died completely on us. Unfortunately cos I wanted to show you how to do that with wind but, yeah, anyway so. Marina Baotič, Marina Baotič this is yacht Marie do you copy. So we call up the marina on the channel that they are designated. Here it's 17. Now we are here in our approach to the marina. Now one thing I am teaching all the time when I teach, training and skippering, and all that sort of thing. With docking and manoeuvring under power, because its one of the hardest things about sailing and that is "ONLY GO AS FAST AS YOU NEED TO" and use neutral as a gear. So right now I'm doing just under 2 knots and I'm in control I have control because there is not that much wind in here and I don't need more than 2 knots to have control with my rudders. So you only go as fast as you need to, to stay in control.
