We have entered the Young Cruiser Awards under two categories! Most Inspirational: https://zealous.co/youngcruisersassociation/opportunity/Most-Inspirational-Cruiser-2024/submissions/michaelafarwick/Patrick-and-Michaela Best Youtube Channel: https://zealous.co/youngcruisersassociation/opportunity/Best-YouTube-Channel-2024/submissions/michaelafarwick/Patrick-and-Michaela-1 Although it does feel a little silly to claim most inspirational or best YouTube channel, we were just a little too big to try for "Up and Coming" YouTube channel as the cut off was 10,000, and we are at about 11,500 thanks to all of you amazing supporters! If it wouldn't be too much trouble, please head over and give us a vote! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Audio Credits Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com Song: April Sky (Instrumental Version) Artist: Ten Towers

Day 5. Today felt like a turning point. After feeling so bad yesterday, I decided it was time to step things up a little. I need my routines. I need to feel good in my body again. And I realized something. After the previous crossing, I had slowly gotten into the habit of eating more candy and chocolate all the time. During that crossing it kind of became comfort food because things were rough… and somehow that habit just stayed with me without me really noticing. And out here, I noticed I was eating chocolate just because it was there, not because I actually wanted it. So today I decided: enough. Cold turkey on sugar. New workout plan. Back to eating properly. Enough protein. Enough real food. Basically… time to get ripped at sea. And honestly, the difference was immediate. I worked out, danced around the boat, ate good food, and the whole energy of the day completely changed. It genuinely turned into one of the best days so far. And I think the coolest part is realizing that sometimes all it takes is a decision. A small switch in your mind. One moment you’re stuck in a bad cycle, and the next you decide to take care of yourself again. And suddenly everything feels lighter. 🌊 ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology.
