Escaping the storm. Sailing through squall after squall in the Indian Ocean. We shedded our sail and were reduced to hand steering the boat through the dark of the night. It was unpleasant yet character building.

Our guidebook warned of very strong currents that make this crossing difficult in a low horsepower vessel. Turned out to be fine but when looking back at the GPS we did go at about a 30 degree angle
