A shorty peek at removing an emergency boat repair patch on our steel motorsailer Alaskan Gypsy. Armed with a hammer and chisel, I take on a temporary fix made of Z-Spar Splash Zone epoxy, 3M 5200 marine adhesive, a rubber gasket, and an aluminum backing plate. This is one of those milestones that never gets old — the moment the hull comes out of the mould and the project suddenly feels real.
