This Kent Ranger sailboat is just as eye-catching as the popular tugs that make this boat builder so well known! Offering over 6′ of standing headroom in her spacious cabin, the v-berth converts to a large seating area with a clever table design that is easily removable and stowed when not in use. Two large quarter berths, an enclosed head and a galley that has a large icebox and two burner stove completes the crew accommodation. Topsides the clean rig setup, large cockpit, furling genoa and electric windlass are all assets for easy single handed sailing. Crowded anchorages? No problem as the centerboard retractable keel will allow you to gunkhole into cozy coves just waiting to be explored throughout the Gulf Islands and beyond. Powered by a freshly rebuilt inboard Yanmar diesel engine, this boat is on display out of the water at our Sidney location. Please contact our Vancouver Island office at 250-656-5832 to schedule a showing.

A shorty peek at removing an emergency boat repair patch on our steel motorsailer Alaskan Gypsy. Armed with a hammer and chisel, I take on a temporary fix made of Z-Spar Splash Zone epoxy, 3M 5200 marine adhesive, a rubber gasket, and an aluminum backing plate. This short clip shows just how tough these materials bond — and why I hope I never have to do this again. 👉 For the full breakdown and repair process, check out the long version on our channel -- https://youtu.be/aDeaPw7b6VY

A quick highlight from our recent trip to Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻, where Katia went behind the scenes at Latitude Yachts to see the LANIAKEA 88’ power catamaran taking shape. This is one of those milestones that never gets old — the moment the hull comes out of the mould and the project suddenly feels real. In the full film, Katia meets the team, walks you through key elements of the build, and shares some of the construction techniques that make a huge difference to strength, finish, and long-term quality. We also take a moment to show a bit of Riga itself (including the Christmas market) because the city is a big part of the story — this is where LANIAKEA is being built, and you really get a feel for the environment and the people behind the project. 🎥 Full behind-the-scenes episode is now live on our @yachtbuilders YouTube channel. If you enjoy shipyards, build processes, and seeing what goes into a project before launch, it’s well worth watching.
