Welcome to Day 2 of our Christmas calendar! 🎄 Today, we’re diving into the galley—our compact yet highly functional kitchen on Vela. ⛵ Placed on the starboard side, just behind the nav station, our galley is designed for safety and efficiency: ✨ Longitudinal layout ensures we can cook securely even when the boat heels. ❄️ Big fridge and freezer for all our provisions. 🔥 Gas stove for cooking up delicious meals, even mid-passage. 💦 Double sink with 3 water outlets: Pressurized fresh water (hot/cold) Manual fresh water pump Manual saltwater pump (great for rinsing without wasting fresh water). On the opposite side, we have a spacious prepping area, and while we once had a microwave, we’ve replaced it with storage and an espresso machine—because we appreciate a good cup of coffee! ☕ What would you cook in this galley? Exiting the Narrows of Strangford Lough and crossing the Bar mouth to head out into the Irish Sea is always exciting when you have wind verse tide. Still foldable, of course, this new trimaran is logically much more modern than its predecessor, with an added touch of comfort and agility.
