Lino Sonego Team Italia participates to the Extreme 40, an inshore racing circuit that brings together the best international skipper of the planet. Lino Sonego Team Italia is the Italian factory team. For Lino Sonego (www.linosonego.it) the entry in the Extreme Sailing Series ™ is a step that came thanks to the passion for the sport of his CEO Fabio Sonego: "We strongly support this Italian challenge because we believe that this is the international multihulls circuit that represents the principles that found our company: excellence, competition and team spirit .... We are present in the sports world for over twenty years and we have sponsored many competitions, from motorcycling to great soccer to sailing. That’s why we wanted to support the project of Giorgio Martin who has proposed to participate at the creation of this team. The Italian team is led by Lorenzo Bressani, who has twice been nominated as ISAF World Sailor of the Year. Bressani and the Italian crew of Enrico Zennaro and Gabriele Olivo have an impressive combined CV that includes 20 World Championship titles across numerous classes, while Adam Kay and Tom Buggy from the UK will provide valuable Extreme 40 class insight in Singapore. This video was captured by Nita CJ (our Tour Leader) and shows two female Komodo Dragons fighting over a nest site on Rinca Island, Komodo National Park in Indonesia. Mating takes place between May and August and the eggs are laid in September. Once a nest site is chosen and won, the female Komodo will then lay as many as 20 eggs and they then incubate for seven to eight months, hatching in April when insects are plentiful at the end of the rainy season Young Komodo dragons are vulnerable and therefore dwell in trees, safe from predators, and cannibalistic adults. They take eight to nine years to mature and are estimated to live up to 30 years.
