Sailing from Europe to Africa and Crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean and Central America we sailed over 7,000 in 2024 and visited 16 countries. We survived hurricane Beryl and made many new friends. A friend took a quick video of my electric bike. I'd already ridden 25km that day so the battery was about half full. When full it'll wheelie on full throttle and I'd have to be careful not to flip it! I hit 58km/h in the video here, but had to stop accelerating as I was running out of road! The motor I used was designed for torque. 120nM of torque in my setup. Top speed: 65km/h on a flat road, 55km/h uphill (any hill!) Range: 50km Cost to recharge: $0.09!

We took our 66' triple masted sailboat to Warm Springs on Baranof Island in Southeast, Alaska. We've been before, but never during such heavy rains! The "hot" spring we remember, were accurately replaced with their name "warm" springs...but still enjoyed a soak, next to a rushing creek, such beauty and power all around!
