This optional excursion combines walking, hiking, swimming, and canyoneering in a spectacular location; the Cetina Valley, located near Omis on the mainland of Croatia. This impressive river and valley are home to many adrenaline-inducing activities, including river rafting, zip-lining and of course, canyoning! Cliffs in the Canyon can reach up to 180 meters high, where you can enjoy amazing views out over the valley, jump from rocks into splash pools below and canyon down the river with your body! Shelley's workplace sponsored an event at the Blue Lagoon in the Lago Mar subdivision in Texas City. Wish we had captured some shots of the cute little sailboats and other water sports going on in the center! Complete with a beach area, floating cabanas, and a DJ, it was a fun day for all who came. On our way out, we took a peek at the neighborhood and found lots of cute, new houses that range in price from the 200s to the 500s. As of the summer of 2023, many are still in the construction process. Residents can enjoy the Blue Lagoon all season long. Maybe something for us to consider in a year or two...
