On long-distance sailing or ocean racing boats prove that sitting on level surfaces minimises fatigue. Together with 360° horizon visibility and natural ventilation, it significantly improves comfort and reduces seasickness. For this reason, we have developed a lightweight, carbon gimbaled saloon settee, which rotates along the longitudinal axis and compensates for the boat's heel. What is a gimbaled settee? Gimbaled settee mechanism keeps the saloon sofa and table in a levelled position even when the boat is heeled. This is especially important for long ocean passages, when working and sleeping on a levelled surface substantially reduces fatigue. The folding and electrically operated dropping saloon table provides easy seat access or delivers a king-size lounging couch. The 27th Annual Dana West Yacht Club Charity Regatta, off the coast of Dana Point in Southern California had 21 boats competing. Sometimes boats try to occupy the same space on the water and that's when collisions occur. During this race, two Catalina 385's, Marblehead and Tomol, tried to do just that and crashed into each other. Who is at fault and how could this collision have been avoided? Watch and determine for yourself! Please leave a comment on what you think and thank you for Sailing with Scott!
