The constrictor knot is one of the most effective binding knots.[Simple and secure, it is a harsh knot that can be difficult or impossible to untie once tightened. For a full how to video follow the link below :- It is made similarly to a clove hitch but with one end passed under the other, forming an overhand knot under a riding turn. The constrictor knot can be used to secure your rope to any object or can even be attached to another length of rope. Many say that the use cases for the constrictor knot are only limited by your imagination. We hope you enjoyed todays Knot Knots demonstration, if you are interested in increasing your knot tying knowledge why not pick up a copy of what many sailors still call the knot bible. First published in 1944 this book has stood the test of time. With over 3900 different kinds, from simple hitches to “Marlinspike Seamanship.” Mr. Ashley has included almost everything there is to know about them. Precisely named and classified (some new ones for the first time officially), they can be easily found in the big index. He tells when they appeared, something about their history, and what they are good for.
