Mavi Vatan’a Sahip Çıkalım! Ülkemizin karasuları ve limanları arasında deniz taşımacılığı haklarını yabancıların kontrolünden kurtararak, bu hakları yalnızca Türk gemi ve vatandaşlarına tanıyan Kabotaj Kanunu'nun 94. yıl dönümü her yıl olduğu gibi bu yıl da 1 Temmuz günü Vira Yatçılık Üyeleri ile Haliç’te kutladık. Bu yıl ki sloganımız Mavi Vatan’a sahip çıkalım! Normalleşme süresince; Yelken Yapmayan Kalmasın! Aslında VİRA için kutlamalar bir ay öncesinde başladı. COVID-19 pandemi süreci sakinleşip normalleşme dönemi başladığında denize ve denizciliğe duyurlan ilginin artması kaçınılmazdı. Bu dönemde VİRA olarak bizim de çorbada bir tuzumuz olsun istedik ve 1 Temmuz Kabotaj Bayramı şerefine “Yelken Yapmayan Kimse Kalmasın” mottosuyla; Ücretsiz Yelken Seyirleri kampanyamızı başlattık. Bu dönemde 20 gün boyunca 200’den fazla kişiyi hiçbir ücret talep etmeden Kalamış’ta ve Haliç’te yelkenle tanıştırdık. Bu projede emeği geçen tüm VİRA ekibine teşekkürlerimizi sunuyoruz 1 Temmuz, Denizcilerin Bayramı! Sıra 1 Temmuz günü gelenekselleşen Haliç kortejimize geldi. 1 Temmuz gününe santralistanbul’daki tesisimizi bayraklar ve flamalarla süsleyerek başladık. Ardından sıra teknelerimize geldi. VİRA Ekibi’nin yapmaktan en keyif aldığı birinci konu yelkense ikincisi kesinlikle tekneleri süslemektir. Bizi tanıyan herkes bunu bilir☺️ Kortej için ekibimiz hazırlıklarını tamamlarken üyelerimiz de tesisimize gelmeye başladı. Marşlar ve dalgalanan bayraklarla akşama hazırlanan üyelerimiz 18.30’da kortej için denize çıkmaya başladı. Kürek kulübümüz Vira Kürek, İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Yelken Kulübü, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Yelken Kulübü ve Marmara Üniversitesi Yelken Kulübü yönetimlerinin de katılımıyla tek sıra olan yelken ve kürek teknelerimiz kortejimize santralistanbul VİRA Haliç’ten başladı. Haliç boyunca tek sıra halinde seyir yapan teknelerimiz kıyıdaki vatandaşlardan da büyük alkış aldı. Sırasıyla santralistanbul, Miniaturk, Haliç Kongre Merkezi, Pierre Loti, Eyüpsultan, Koç Müzesi, Tersane İstanbul açığından geçerek kıyıdaki vatandaşları selamlayan kortejimiz Unkapanı köprüsünden dönüşe başladı. Dönüş yolunda İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi dronu tarafından görüntülendiğinden habersiz olan üyelerimiz; akşam saatlerinde Belediye Başkanı Sayın Ekrem İmamoğlu’nun sosyal medya hesaplarından yaptığı paylaşım ile Haliç Kongre Merkezi açığında güzel bir manzara oluşturduğumuzu da gururla görmüş oldu. Mavi Vatan! Her yıl olduğu gibi bu yıl da Türk denizcilerinin özgürlük gününü büyük bir gururla kutladık.
