Welcome aboard! In today's video, I'm thrilled to share with you why I've chosen Furuno as my go-to brand for boat electronics. As an avid sailor and enthusiast of the open seas, I've explored various options, and Furuno stands out for its unparalleled quality, reliability, and innovation in marine navigation technology. Let's dive into the reasons why Furuno has become an indispensable part of my boating adventures: Wind Sensor Excellence: Furuno's wind sensors are second to none. With precision accuracy and real-time data updates, they provide crucial information about wind direction and speed, empowering me to make informed decisions while sailing. Whether navigating through choppy waters or planning for optimal sail trim, Furuno's wind sensors ensure I stay ahead of the elements. Multi-Function Display (MFD): The heart of my navigation setup is Furuno's MFD. Its intuitive interface, high-resolution display, and seamless integration with other Furuno devices make it a game-changer on the water. From chartplotting to radar overlay, AIS tracking, and depth sounder readings, the MFD offers comprehensive functionality in a single, user-friendly package. TZT12 Chartplotter: When it comes to chartplotters, Furuno's TZT12 stands out as a pinnacle of performance and versatility. With its advanced features, including C-MAP charts, satellite imagery overlays, and customizable display options, the TZT12 provides unparalleled situational awareness and navigation precision. Whether cruising along the coast or embarking on an offshore voyage, I trust the TZT12 to guide me safely to my destination. NXT Radar: Furuno's NXT Radar technology redefines radar performance at sea. With its solid-state design, pulse compression technology, and Target Analyzer feature, the NXT Radar delivers unparalleled detection capabilities while minimizing power consumption. Whether navigating in dense fog, heavy rain, or low visibility conditions, the NXT Radar provides crystal-clear imagery and reliable target tracking, enhancing safety and peace of mind on every voyage. In conclusion, choosing Furuno for my boat electronics was a decision driven by a commitment to excellence, reliability, and uncompromising performance on the water. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/593/BORDER%20LEGEND BORDER LEGEND is a resurrected masterpiece from the sunset days of traditional #yachtbuilding in #Britain; when finely-built wooden yachts were still just about the norm, and their designers and #builders could call on a century or more of handed down skills. BORDER LEGEND's design by George McGruer is a natural #evolution from the renowned work of his father, James, and her build was by the last generations of a highly skilled workforce managed by the wider #McGruer family from the 1890s into the early 2000s. Among the last wooden yachts designed and built there in the early 1970s were three wholesome, elegant and fast 49-55 ft ketches. While the ocean passagemaking exploits of CUILAUN and TALISKER MHOR (ex CERESIO) have become legendary, their smaller sister, BORDER LEGEND (launched as GLORY B IV for furniture manufacturer W.J. Barton of Cheshire, later Hampshire), remained under the radar: a bona fide family cruiser, latterly Solent-based. Circumstances saw her fall on hard times before recent rescue and a major refit under current, experienced ownership - so that one of the finest, last generation wooden #yachts is now available for the pure enjoyment - and it can only be that - of her next owner.
