Get a sneak peek of North Sails latest #OceanForLife campaign. This Spring-Summer 2019 season starts with an amazing adventure to discover first-hand the reality of plastic invading our oceans. We indeed traveled to Mumbai, India, with an eclectic and international team of adventurers, which would help us understand the problem. The outcome; four chapters, four short interconnected documentaries featuring the reaction of four captivating international characters. Top models Alena Blohm from Germany , Simon Nessman from Canada, Spanish adventurer Gotzon Mantuliz and French actor Michel Biel – with whom we visited the Dharavi neighborhood (famed globally by the movie Slum Dog Millionaire), the Uttan dump, and the Mumbai coast, to understand how plastic reaches the oceans, in a setting with a fascinating culture and people that will make us learn that there is hope, and that, as with all problems, there are solutions. The problem of plastic and the Ocean has reached a global dimension, and it is only through a globally joint action that one can provide a solution. It’s time to work together and do something for our planet! I'm putting together a series of one minute short films, whilst I work on a bigger project on my local foxes. This first one minute short is about my local moor and a lovely young Roe Deer. Goss Moor is the largest remaining area of mid-Cornwall moorland and is a National Nature Reserve with a multi-use trail. The mostly flat valley basin is the source of the River Fal. A designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation, the reserve is home to many rare species including Cornish Moneywort, yellow Centaury, Cornish Pillwort, marsh Clubmoss, small red damselfly, variable damselfly and the marsh Fritillary butterfly.
