Installing a new floor in an Edencraft is far from a simple task. This 565 build has reached the Joining Shed stage. After completing the stringers, full tank installation, foaming, leveling, and glassing, the floor is finally ready for a dry fit. Once the dry fitting is complete, both surfaces will be prepped. The base of the floor will be resin-coated, and the hull will be layered with chopped fiberglass and resin. With precision, the floor is then carefully placed in position and weighted down to create a strong chemical bond between the two surfaces. From this point, any gap between the floor liner and the hull will be filled with foam, sanded to perfection, and sealed with a layer of fibreglass. A weather window opened up with cool temperatures and descent winds. Toni and I loaded "Moments in Time" for an overnight trip. We slipped the dock lines and tacked up the Patuxent River looking for a spot to drop the hook for the night.
