? The State of the Yacht Industry: Inflation, Rising Costs, and Changing Demographics ? The yacht industry is facing tough times, and in this video, we break down exactly why. With over 30 years in the industry, we've witnessed both the highs and lows, but the current "perfect storm" of economic factors-rising inflation, higher interest rates, increased insurance costs due to storms, and the rapid spike in boat prices-has made this downturn particularly challenging. ? Why are yacht prices so high? Learn about how the fallout from COVID-19 has caused the price of new catamarans to soar by 25-30%, making boat ownership unreachable for many who once could afford it. ? Shifting Demographics & Boating Experiences The next generation of boaters is looking for the experience of yachting without the burden of private ownership. We explore the growing demand for yacht charters, managed boat programs, and crewed experiences that offer adventure without the responsibility. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just looking for a relaxing escape, charter programs are becoming the go-to choice for those who want to enjoy life on the water. ? What's Next for the Yacht Market? As the market shifts, larger yachts like the highly anticipated Bali 5.8 are set to make waves. Set to debut at the Annapolis Boat Show, the Bali 5.8 offers luxury features-spacious layouts, innovative designs, and competitive pricing-making it a game-changer in the 60-foot class. It comes in at an impressive price point, significantly lower than other yachts in the same range, offering unbeatable value for buyers. ? Luxury for Less: Crewed Yacht Charters The rise of crewed yacht charters is another trend reshaping the industry. Discover how the experience of chartering by the cabin on yachts like the Bali 5.8 is becoming more attractive to travelers who want a personalized cruise-like experience but with far more exclusivity and access to private beaches. ? Join Us at the Annapolis Boat Show! We're excited to unveil the new Bali 5.8 at the show, and we'll be hosting an exclusive launch party. ? The Covid health crisis and a boating market that's progressively producing larger and larger models, are two factors that took their toll on the London and Paris events... Two years ago, we wondered whether the famous boot Düsseldorf would suffer the same fate, especially as the manufacturers of sailing multihulls had clearly passed the word to boycott the show last year... But boot has a solid case in its favor: for a start, it adjoins the Rhine, offering river access to the largest craft. And this year, the 16 exhibition halls attracted some 1,500 exhibitors from 67 countries, and 200,000 visitors. As for multihulls, although the booths were back, in terms of actual boats, we had to make do with the Excess 11, the Dragonfly 28 and 36 (making its world premiere) and the Tricat 6.90. Powercats, on the other hand, were much more in evidence, with the Dracan 42, Four Winns 36, Prestige M48 and Yot 41. Dates for next year's boot Düsseldorf have already been announced - January 17 to 25, 2026. ?
