This was the first video I ever tried to film. I needed a distraction from what was ahead of me. 3 years ago, with a keel and hull flexing issue back in Scotland. I almost start tearing up remembering this terrible time. The yard was quite far from home, so I had to sleep in the car at the carpark, eat ready meals from the supermarket and shower wherever. We love visiting the Farmers Market at Fernandina Beach. This is our second time and we weren’t disappointed. We were able to pick up some great produce as well as some amazing fresh salsa and guacamole (which we scarfed down yesterday afternoon). The weather has been gorgeous, so after the market we walked around for a few hours and enjoyed the day. After renting out their house in New Zealand, Renee and Lynette pushed off aboard their steel sailboat Tekaihau to sail around the world. They have sailed over 30,000 nautical miles and visited 16 countries so far. Just another 8000 miles to go...
