The Multihull Centre is, we believe, the oldest boatyard in the world that specialises in multihulls. Founded in 1968 by Pat Patterson of Heavenly Twins catamaran fame it has been my home base since 1982. Sadly I am not often there these days, but did take this video today of the boats in storage. By far this is the best road trip we have ever done. We loved it so much we did it again. Many of the people that visit New Zealand often road trip around the South Island but I'm a firm believer that the North Island is just as beautiful, with the East Coast being just one example. We first did this trip in July 2022 and then again in September 2023 after Cyclone Gabrielle. The second time took longer to drive due to the extensive road works caused by the catastrophic damage from Cyclone Gabrielle so care was needed. Words cannot describe how beautiful this coastline is.

What a wonderful weekend, sailing with family and friends in the Aeolian Islands (Vulcano and Lipari) and then seeing dolphins on the way back to Milazzo, fantastic! Un weekend meraviglioso, in barca a vela con la famiglia e gli amici nelle Isole Eolie (Vulcano e Lipari) e poi delini rientrando a Milazzo, fantastico!
