Taking delivery is only one step. What comes next matters just as much. During our owner week in Lorient, new Allures owners come together to learn, ask questions, build confidence and share the first moments of their project as owners. Because a bluewater cruising plan is not only about the boat. It is also about preparation, support and the people around you. The next edition is getting closer. What would matter most to you before departure: systems, safety, navigation or community? #AlluresYachting #BluewaterCruising #WorldCruising #OwnerExperience #SailingCommunity #LongDistanceSailing
🎭 MORE DRAMA HERE! https://youtu.be/hcmv4li_W9E I've gotten lots of comments telling me my voice over is terrible, it's overly dramatic, we made awful decisions and this stuff didn't really happen when we rescued this boat from the Domincan Republic. Well, it did. And this video is dedicated to all the haters to show that I do truly appreciate you. And read your comments. And feel them. I love you. Never change. Also, this isn't my boat. I wasn't the captain. And this was my first ever trip like this. I was just crew along for the ride and was trying to help out the owner wrenching on the boat instead of going on what I thought was going to be a pleasure sail. https://youtube.com/shorts/7ZI4xcqgLIQ #sailing #travel #bahamas
Seven years into boatlife, I sometimes look back at the naive girl I was when we first stepped on board ForTuna, unsure whether I envy her optimism or feel grateful to be a seasoned liveaboard now. She definitely didn’t expect these five things: 1. How much mental energy small decisions take. Weather, anchorages, groceries, maintenance, nothing is big on its own, but everything needs attention. 2. How quickly “adventure” turns into routine. And how necessary that routine becomes if you want to stay. 3. How comforting familiarity feels. Knowing one anchorage well can feel richer than constantly moving on. 4. How little the big moments matter compared to the small ones. It’s not the passages you remember most, but the everyday rhythms. 5. How boatlife doesn’t become easier, you just learn what actually matters. Stay Salty, Greta and Michael #sailing #sailinglife #liveaboard #sailingadventure #liveaboardlife
