Croatia had been our sailing ground since we purchased our very first sailboat. After 18 months of sailing the Dalmatian coast, we left this beautiful country and set sail to Montenegro and later to Corfu, Greece. We plan to use the sailing season to bring Sea Bee to Turkey for the winter

Along our journey south, we decided to drop the anchor in North Captiva and stay a few days. We totally fell in love with this sleepy island town. From walking along the shell-covered white sand beaches to checking out the wildlife, there was so much to love about North Captiva. Don't miss the conch fritters at Mainstay...they really are too good to share! Steve began the journey as an amateur wooden boat builder crafting a 38' wooden sailboat in his backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva. -------------------------- If you are interested in supporting/helping here are a few ways: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/how-to-help Acorn to Arabella's wishlist: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/wishlistpriority TotalBoat supports A2A!

We had just finished installing our Auto Pilot and took her out so we could do the calibrations. Well, while we were out, we couldn't help but take her for a "spin" - please forgive the expletive at the end, I just couldn't contain myself! If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up! Subscribe at http://youtube.com/svrocinante We're a Live-aboard, Sailing Couple and we started this journey almost 14 years ago, when we purchased our first sailboat, a Catalina 30 TRBS in 2003! A lot has changed since then and we hope to share our ongoing adventure with the world! As we start to add content, you'll find that this is much more than a sailing channel, it is about embracing life & finding out how little you need to be truly happy! We'll share beautiful sunsets, gorgeous vistas, amazing food and most importantly the exceptional people we meet along the way. So join us as we continue our journey and you just might decide to get out there yourself - if nothing else, we're sure to make you smile!
