In December I crossed the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Barbados on a friends Lagoon 380. For the first 2000 miles or so we had calms or very light winds and so fellow crew member Erick could fly his drone. After a while you don't notice the swells when on board, it's just a gentle rocking motion. Even when the wind picked up there were none of the "mountainous seas" beloved by the media! We were able to find items at Hillside Food Supply at Long Island Bahamas that we were not able to find back at George Town. The market is very close to the Dinghy dock which is a private dock, but made graciously available to cruisers. Take a left on Queens Highway at the top of the street (Basil Street) and the market is on the right less than a 1/4 mile down the road. The variety at this food market is awesome. Perfect stop for provisioning going south. Long Islanad Bahamas is a really cool island and a ton to see. Well worth renting a car to check out the sites. #sailingcatamaran #boatlife #catamaran #travelvlog #digitalnomad #lifestyle #sailboats #sailing #cruising #offgrid #nomad #sail #boat #multihull #whileone #sailingwhileone #bigseas #lifeafter50 #sailinglife
We sailed to Sardinia from the Balearics in June, the first anchorage was heaven on earth, and in the afternoon we entered Marina Stintino - watch the full visual pilot video: https://youtu.be/6pLLEH9brbA More in-depth study : https://seatv.world/docking/stintino/ #sailingchannel #sailing #shorts
