Foi dada a largada para a 48ª edição da Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela, que acontece entre os dias 24 e 31 de julho de 2021, no Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI), no litoral norte paulista. Neste sábado (24), aconteceu virtualmente a Reunião de Comandantes, onde os representantes dos veleiros inscritos no evento fazem suas considerações sobre as expectativas para o evento, que terá suas primeiras regatas neste domingo (25). O grande encontro da modalidade conta com 80 barcos das principais classes de vela oceânica, como ORC, RGS, Mini Transat, Multicasco, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. After a 22 year absence the Admiral's Cup is back as Cowes played host to the return of the self proclaimed World Cup of offshore sailing. Starting with the offshore Channel Race and running into three days of inshore races in the Solent, the return of this famous team event was a huge success before it's even been won. Matt Sheahan reports from Cowes at the heart of the event where he watched the racing blow by blow and talked to some of the big players.
