The draft of the Maverick 440 is just on 1 meter / or just over 3 ft, so it has the shallowest draft of any fixed keel cruising catamaran in its class. You can see this as the yacht is in just on 4ft of water. The shallow draft if you access to move anchorages, more locations, and a higher safety margin when you sailing around in the tropical islands.

J109 Going to Red was locked in close combat with the several of the IRC 1 fleet in the first of the Tobermory of WYHW 2023. The wind was ranging between 10 and 15 knots on the first beat with J109 Going to Red crossing just behind the Maxi 1300 "Maximoose Too" GBR9333C early on the first best. Maximoose Too lead from start to finish in this race with Going to read coming in 6th place. The bottom up boats team had a great time at WHYW, the weather was not great but the sailing and the social life more than made up for the damp conditions.
