After anchoring at Brick Hill near Cumberland Island, we took about a 4 mile dinghy ride to the Plum Orchard docks. Once there, we hiked across the island to the most amazing beach with literally only 2 other people (way far away). We saw lots of birds, armadillos, a baby tortoise, and of course wild horses. We ❤️ this island/National Park. Introducing the soon-to-be-famous Salt Wharf Burger. This bad boy incorporates the science behind how to properly grind beef with the indulgent pleasure of gooey cheese oozing out the sides after a big bite. Chef Chris created this burger based on the classics requirements of a great burger -- quality meat, a soft yet structured bun, bacon, crunchy veg, sharp cheese, and of course the pickle and fries. This version may be more elevated than the backyard griller's recipe, but it hits all the marks. Salt Wharf is located in Camden, Maine at the Lyman-Morse marina.
