Installing a new floor in an Edencraft is far from a simple task. This 565 build has reached the Joining Shed stage. After completing the stringers, full tank installation, foaming, leveling, and glassing, the floor is finally ready for a dry fit. Once the dry fitting is complete, both surfaces will be prepped. The base of the floor will be resin-coated, and the hull will be layered with chopped fiberglass and resin. With precision, the floor is then carefully placed in position and weighted down to create a strong chemical bond between the two surfaces. From this point, any gap between the floor liner and the hull will be filled with foam, sanded to perfection, and sealed with a layer of fibreglass. We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard).
