I've started the 2nd prototype wheelhouse extension (and dismantled the first). We had proved the concept but wanted the central fixed part a little narrower. The goals are a full cockpit enclosure AND moving the mainsheet from the top of the aft cabin to above the wheelhouse (better safety and a better sheeting angle). We also refitted the timber trim on the port side complete with the front zip for the first removable window section. We are now living aboard our Rival 38 Centre Cockpit full-time while finishing a refit so we can launch ASAP. La sveglia porta con sé una scomodissima novità: il collo e la schiena sono bloccati. Chi soffre di cervicalgia sa bene quanto possa essere scomodo questo ospite. Pungente e acuto. Oggi non c’è niente da fare, collo in scarico e qualsiasi attività fisica messa in pausa. Fortunatamente non c’è un granché da fare e la giornata scorre veloce al pc. La sera sopraggiunge in fretta e ci regala una luce argentata rara: il paesaggio è illuminato a giorno, si vede perfino l’ombra della barca sulla sabbia, 5 metri sotto di noi. Piano piano la luce della luna inizierà a scemare, e così spero anche il mio torcicollo 😅 A domani! C.

Just chillin'! Schooling sweetlips and humpback snapper at Crystal Rock in Komodo National Park. As if this dive site wasn't amazing enough, with all the soft corals, sharks, octopus, nudis, pygmy's and the odd ray gliding by!
