We use our dinghy anchor mostly to keep our dinghy from hitting the dock when there is a swell. What we do is tie the dinghy to the dock, shoot the dinghy anchor off the back, and then pull the anchor line tight enough so that the dinghy doesn’t hit the dock. After we came back to a popped dinghy in Mustique, we learned that it’s best to use an anchor! Navegando en la Ría de Vigo con vientos del Sur de 35 nudos de intensidad. Nuestro Gran Nergha, un Jeanneau Sun Odissey 51.9, comienza a escorarse. Llevamos el segundo rizo en la mayor, pero no es suficiente para un día tan racheado. Pasamos de los 18 nudos a los 35 nudos en medio segundo. Eso hace que nuestro querido velero alcance tales escoras. Cuando empieza a comprometerse la escora con la seguridad, nuestro trimer de mayor arría escota y el barco adriza sin ningún problema. Pasa la racha, y volvemos a cazar la escota de mayor y así hasta la siguiente racha.
