Hinter mir befindet sich einer der großen Stauseen von El Chorro in Andalusien. Solche Anlagen speichern Wasser für Städte und Landwirtschaft und dienen gleichzeitig der Stromerzeugung. Das Wasser wird in großer Höhe gespeichert und treibt beim Abfließen Turbinen zur Energiegewinnung an. Außerdem beeinflussen große Wasserflächen das lokale Klima und spielen besonders in trockenen Regionen eine wichtige Rolle.
