Trash on a boat is a daily occurrence! When we buy groceries we try to remove and leave as much packaging on shore but trash inevitably accumulates. In each new harbor we have to find the spot where cruisers can deposit their trash. In some cases, like St Maarten, it’s free. In other countries, or ports, there are small fees. The one thing a cruiser should never do is bring trash to land and leave it for someone else to take care of. Instead…stop by your neighbors (even if you don’t know them yet) and tell them you’re doing a trash run and you’re happy to take theirs! EALISTIC WHAT I EAT IN A DAY (while on vacation / travelling) 🌴 Eating down here is a bit more difficult at times than at home. 👉🏼 The grocery stores are smaller, it’s harder to come by a lot of protein that isn’t meat based, and things are quite expensive! However, we are making it work and having fun with it in the kitchen 😌 I am slowly letting go of the need to feel like I have to have protein at every single meal and learning to cook with the local foods to save $$!
