We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Despite cyclone warning, we headed off to climb the Le Morne Mountain in Mauritius. The hike is 3.5 km one way - easy trail to the basecamp, where the trail become a bit steep and several sections are nearly rock climbing - not to be undertaken by the faint hearted and definitely not when raining….. We did the climb before the rain started and had a wonderful, not so hot climb. On a sunny day the sea and the different shades of blue / green must be mind blowing. #adventure #hiking #hikingadventures #mauritius #lemorne

Tropical Storm Bret looks like it will go over St Lucia and Martinique. We're down in Grenada, expecting bands of weather to affect us with high winds and churned-up seas. As it stands now, it's beautiful. You'd never know a storm was coming! This 'hurricane-hole' is in Egmont along the southern coast of Grenada. If you get in early enough, it's a great spot.
