----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome back to Carl and Jenny Sailing Adventures! Today, we're talking Pirate knowledge! In this episode, Carl and Jenny explore the Pirates! The "Golden Age of Piracy" took place between the late 17th and early 18th centuries, when pirates were most active in the Caribbean, West Africa, and the American colonies. Pirates had their own language - Pirates used a language called "Pirate Speak" or "Pirate Jargon," which was a mix of English, Spanish, and other languages. It included words like "avast" (stop), "matey" (friend), and "booty" (treasure).
